2024 Wrapped: Concerts Reflection!

I’ve wrapped up my 2024 with the most successful concert experience in my 12 years of fangirl life. Here are my reflections on all the concerts I attended this year.

1. TWICE: 5th World Tour READY TO BE – ONCE MORE

Who: TWICE (Opener: VCHA)

Where: Allegiant Stadium Las Vegas

When: March 16, 2024

Reflections:
As this was my very first concert, I definitely had a unique experience. From booking the flight tickets and hotel to securing the concert tickets, I couldn’t believe it was happening until the day of the show. Unlike other concerts I attended later in the year, buying tickets for TWICE was relatively easy. They were available on Ticketmaster, and we didn’t have to pay for them the day they were released. Allegiant Stadium, one of the newest venues in the area, was massive, but at that time, I had zero concert experience and didn’t realize just how large the venue was. So, I made a small mistake by buying lower bowl stage-direct tickets. While the view of the entire stadium was great, I had a hard time seeing the artists and could barely make out the screens. Still, it was a memorable experience.

What I liked the most about this concert:
The K-pop concert culture, which includes giving out freebies and organizing projects to surprise the artists, really stood out to me.

2. Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour

Who: Olivia Rodrigo

Where: Rogers Arena Vancouver

When: August 9th, 2024

Reflections:
This was the first time I attended a concert without having to travel, and I loved how it helped me stick to my budget. I’ve always listened to Olivia’s music and personally feel that she’s talented enough to do a stadium tour instead of just an arena tour! Securing tickets, however, was definitely not easy. Fortunately, I managed to get two lower bowl seats, and I absolutely loved them. Another thing I enjoyed was the fact that the concert was held in the summer. Seeing everyone dressed up for the event was such a vibe and definitely one of the best parts of the experience.

What I liked the most about this concert:
Olivia’s stage presence was incredible. Her voice is so powerful, and it made the entire experience feel absolutely worth the money.

3. NCT DREAM: THE DREAM SHOW 3 WORLD TOUR DREAM()SCAPE

Who: NCT Dream

Where: Intuit Dome Los Angeles

When: September 12th, 2024

Reflections:
Yes, you guessed it—I was traveling for another concert! This time, it was to see my ultimate K-pop favorite boy group: NCT Dream. The moment I found out they were going on tour, I knew I had to get tickets. Although it was unfortunate that NCT Dream didn’t include Vancouver in their tour this time, I was still incredibly excited for this trip. In addition to the concert, I also had the chance to visit Disneyland, which was a pretty cool experience!

What I liked the most about this concert:
The members themselves. I could feel how much fun they were having on stage, and it was heartwarming to see them together as a group. It was such an emotional and memorable experience for me, especially knowing they’ve been together since they were so young. Having followed their journey and growth as a group for many years, this concert felt incredibly special. Can not wait to see them again soon!

4. Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour N1 and N3

Who: Taylor Swift (Opener: Gracie Abrams)

Where: BC Place Vancouver

When: December 6th, 2024

Reflections:
This was truly the concert of a lifetime. A month before the show, Vancouver was buzzing with everything Taylor Swift-related—it felt like an early Christmas! The atmosphere was so joyful, and it made me realize the incredible impact she can have on a city, or even a country. One of the craziest things that has ever happened to me: I managed to get tickets, not only 1, but 2 nights to the Eras Tour for only $16.50! I knew it would be worth every penny since it was the last show ever of the tour.

As a big fan of Taylor Swift, I was amazed by all the effort the city put into making this event fun and run smoothly. The concert itself was, of course, incredible. From the music and visuals to the sound and staff, everything was perfect. Honestly, everyone involved in making it happen deserves a raise!

What I liked the most about this concert:
Honestly, I can’t decide—I loved everything about it! If I had to choose, maybe the opener, Gracie Abrams. She’s the GOAT!
